What do no-shows cost you?
Put in how many clients don’t show and what an appointment usually costs. You’ll see what that adds up to in a year and, if you like, what a deposit on those bookings would have kept for you.
Example
Say you get 2 no-shows a week and your average appointment is $40.
$4,160 a year
That’s $80 a week, and 104 no-shows over 52 weeks.
With a $15 deposit on each of those bookings, $1,560 a year would have stayed with you. We can’t promise how many no-shows a deposit prevents.
These numbers are made up to show how it works. Put in yours, and your own estimate replaces this example.
With dibbo
Ready at launchDeposits with a refund window, and reminders the day before.
Cancel before the window and the client gets the deposit back. After it, or on a no-show, it stays with you. The reminder has a link to confirm or move, so it’s easy to tell you instead of just not coming.
How no-show protection worksA no-show costs more than the cut
The price of the appointment is the part you can count. The slot is gone too: someone else could have had it, and on a busy day they probably wanted it.
Most no-shows aren’t on purpose. People forget, or it feels awkward to cancel. Clear rules help, and so does making it easy to move a booking. Write your shop rules, with replies for late clients and missed appointments.
