For your booking page

Paste it where clients see it before they book.

Can’t make it? Please cancel or move your booking at least 24 hours ahead, so someone else can have the chair. Some services ask for a $15 deposit when you book. You get it back if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. After that, or if you don’t show, it stays with the shop. Running late? We’ll wait up to 10 minutes. After that, we may need to shorten your cut so the next client isn’t kept waiting. Thanks for understanding. It keeps things fair for everyone in the chair.

Replies for late clients, cancels and deposit questions

Replies for the desk and your DMs

When a client texts that they’re late, wants to cancel or asks about their deposit, answer the same way every time. These follow the rules you picked above, so they change when you do.

  • “I’m running late, can I still come?”

Thanks for the heads-up! We can wait up to 10 minutes. After that, we may need to shorten your cut so the next client isn’t kept waiting. See you soon.

  • “I need to cancel.”

    Less than 24 hours before

Thanks for letting us know. It’s less than 24 hours now, so the chair is hard to fill. If you paid a deposit for it, it stays with the shop. Want me to find you another time?

  • “Can I get my deposit back?”

    24 hours or more before

Yes. You’re more than 24 hours ahead, so if you cancel now, you get it back. Or if you’d rather move it, tell me a day that works and I’ll find you a time.

  • “Can I get my deposit back?”

    Less than 24 hours before

Sorry, it’s less than 24 hours now, so the deposit stays with the shop. That’s what holds the chair for you. I’m happy to find you another time.

  • “I missed my appointment, can I rebook?”

We missed you! Of course you can rebook. If you paid a deposit for it, it stays with the shop. Tell me a day that works and I’ll find you a time.

Some of this, dibbo can hold for you

Rules on a sign only work if you keep them. When dibbo opens, some of them run by themselves. The rest stay house rules that you keep at the chair.

  • Deposits with a refund window Ready at launch

Pick the services that need one. Cancel before the window and the client gets it back. After it, or on a no-show, it stays with you.

  • A cancellation cutoff Ready at launch

After it, your booking link won’t let clients cancel or change online.

  • Reminders with a confirm link Ready at launch

A reminder the day before, so fewer people forget in the first place.
