Roadmap

What’s ready, what’s next

We’d rather you know what dibbo does before you switch. Here’s what the first shops get, and what we’re building after that.

No dates on purpose. We share the order we’re building in, not deadlines we might miss. Last updated .

Ready at launch

Launch means our private beta: this is what the first shops get when they join it.

  • Your own booking link

For your bio or your website, plus an embed. Clients book without an app or an account.

    More on online booking
  • Only real open times

Pick a barber or whoever’s free. Two clients can never land in the same slot.

    More on online booking
  • Deposits and payment at booking

Per service, through Stripe, straight to your bank. Late cancels and no-shows keep the deposit.

    More on no-show protection
  • Confirmations and reminders

By text and email, with a link to confirm or reschedule. No login for your clients.

    More on reminders
  • Cancellation cutoffs and no-show marks

Last-minute changes go through you, and a client’s no-shows show on their page.

    More on no-show protection
  • Approval first for special services

Some bookings wait for you to say yes before they’re confirmed.

    More on online booking
  • Your day book

A list, a column per barber, or the week. Walk-ins, blocked time, and drag to move.

  • Client pages

Notes and visit history for every client, locked with your shop’s own key.

  • Logins for your team

Owner, admin, front desk and barber. Each barber sees only their own clients.

  • Setup and your look

Services, barbers, hours, time off, your logo and color, and a setup checklist.

  • Stats and a shop log

How the book is doing, and a log of who opened which client’s notes, and when.

  • An email when someone books

And when a booking needs your approval, or a payment has a problem.

Coming next

On the plan, in roughly this order, after the private beta.

  • Import your client list

Bring your clients over from a spreadsheet.

  • Download your client list

Your whole client list, whenever you want it. Owners only, and it asks you to sign in again first.

  • Rebook reminders

A nudge to each regular when they’re due for their next cut, timed to the service.

    More on reminders
  • A list of overdue regulars

See who hasn’t been back in a while and send them a rebook link.

    More on reminders
  • Tags, saved lists and messages to a group

Tag clients, save a list, and message it. Only clients who agreed to hear from you get it.

  • Book for a client

Take a booking by phone and put it in the book yourself, or text the client a link to confirm and pay.

  • Standing appointments

Every other Friday at 5, booked once.

    More on online booking
  • House calls

For mobile barbers: book at the client’s address, with travel time around it.

  • Questions at booking

Ask what you need to know before the cut. Answers are locked like notes.

  • Your shop’s website

A simple site on yourshop.dibbo.io, built from your services and prices. Change a price and the site follows.

  • Your own web address

Put your site on your own domain. An add-on: the domain at cost, what the registrar charges us, plus a monthly fee for upkeep.

  • Texts from your own shop number

Reminders and messages from your number, in your shop’s name. An add-on.

    More on reminders
  • A website built for you

We design and build a custom site for your shop, on your own domain. An add-on, quoted per shop.

  • Before we open to everyone

Published prices, an independent security test, and a screen-reader accessibility check.

Planned

Ideas we’re designing now. They aren’t scheduled yet, and they may change.

  • Booking by text

A client texts in plain words and gets real open times back, then books the one they pick.

    More on text booking
  • No-show fees on a card on file

Save a card at booking, with your policy shown in words. You approve every fee.

    More on no-show protection
  • Add-on suggestions shops can switch on

Offer extras, like a beard trim, while a client books. Off unless you turn it on.

  • One-tap rebooking

Make booking the next visit as quick as possible for your regulars.

Later

Things we want to build, with no place in the order yet.

  • A two-way text inbox

Read and reply to clients’ texts on your own shop number.

  • Calendar sync

Two-way sync with the calendar on your phone.

  • Waitlist fill

Offer a cancelled slot to clients who wanted an earlier time.

  • Memberships

    Monthly plans for regulars.

  • Reviews

Collect reviews from your own clients.

  • More than one location

Run several shops from one login.

  • Emails from your own domain

Booking emails sent from your shop’s own address.

  • Faster permanent deletion

A shorter wait before a closed shop’s data is gone from our backups too.
